Who matters ?

We tend to look for approval and respect from the same people that we don't really respect.
Bernard Shaw is a good example.
He claimed that he was the greatest writer ever.
So how did he expect to get judged on that ?

How can one believe one is the greatest in something if the people we believe are not good in it are going to appreciate one's greatness.

So what's the point in believing in greatness of oneself...
totally useless...

so the best thing ...enjoy the blue sky...yes nobody will idolize one but these moments are totally worth the while.

What is right by us

We tend to be very self justifying though we know we are doing something wrong...
Why is that ?

I don't know....
We are rarely wrong in our own eyes and we tend to see others as wrong more often.
There is a good probability that we are as often wrong or doing wrongfully things as what we find others doing.

Are there absolutes or are everything relative ? Many times the answer is the latter. But twisting the truth a little bit first time tends to make it easier to twist it a bit more later in our own mind.
And although we don't see the damage its doing as its only a small change...yet in total we cannot control the damage that such things does...Truth also causes damage but at least that is the fact we have to deal with it...its harder to explain why we should make others deal with our little lies isn't it (except for politicians where their truths and lies are not very different).

What a life..

We complain daily about the life we have ...yet if you are reading this we are part of the lucky few...

We are able to read ...we have access to technology and we are not looking for where the next plate of food is going to come from.

I am thinking of those who never will have access to comfort and and who will live very short lives with very little hope.

Being selfish i would not like to trade life...yet if there is a way to have a more intelligent social system...We are not very intelligent in the way we mnage and deal with each other ...yet we have a glimmer of intelligence showing once in a while.

How do we give up stuff while feeling good about it....religion and politics are not the answer...they are being tried for the last 7000 years...and we are still using the same arguments...

What we want to believe

Every individual wants to believe that he or she is doing right
And we want to believe what we believe in is the most righteous thing.
But then in an open society its that we agree to disagree and
still remain in good terms and not kill each other.

Also its easy to make an open society go down the closed way if we tend to protect our ideas without allowing dissent.

An open society has to have checks, balances and protections of individuals even when they are against the openness of the system.
For example people who are against religious tolerance etc...should be allowed to express their views, though you wish they would go to Saudi Arabia, but shutting their mouth makes it as bad
as being in Saudi Arabia !

As a Japanese philosopher said:

Freedom allows those who are against it
But not vice versa.

My world - my continent - my country

My world is my country and my continent.
Do I belong to it or does it belong to me ?

But people of my world should respect themselves.
Then they should respect others.
When we have such people...What's happening
in this world will never be allowed to happen.

Every body has a right to opportunity...

Every individual is me
I belong to everybody and nobody.

Its incredible how we are the most stupid of species and yet
with so much intelligence

Meaning of life ?

42
Forty two
Tea For Two ?

Yeah Two For tea ...
or two forty
or 2... 40
Is it 240 ?
or 80

Does that mean

8 tea is
two for tea

That's where conundrum
reach dichotomy...
