In the battle of Love against Hate. Hate is dominant In the few language i know that is the case When you pit one agains the other by statements:
"Love hate "
(Aimer la Haine)
 hate wins

 "Hate love"
 (Hair l'amour)
 hate wins again

 "Hate hate"
(Hair la haine)
 Well you try to destroy hate with hate whence hate wins anyways.

Only

 that love comes top.

 It is live a recessive and dominant genes...Hate is the dominant character and expresses itself in 3 out of the 4 possible pairings. Wonder if there is a culture/language where love is dominant in expressions. May be we should teach that at school

When silence is a winner

As my brother said: It makes lots of sense not answering back: If it is somebody more stupid than you taunting you...then you gain nothing in proving to yourself that you are smarter than that person. And you can't make him/her wiser. If it is somebody more intelligent than you taunting you ...then learn from him/her...and sooner or later he will realize how stupid it was of him/her and you win anyways ! As my brother said patience and keeping your mouth shut is a big winner most of the time.

We worry about air travel and yet we have a higher chance of dying in a car and yet we have no qualms in getting in a car

We worry about nuclear radiation and yet we know what exactly this pollution is doing and where it is located and it affect us directly...we have no worries in pumping and digging for carbon and put it in the atmosphere and water....hey we won't be here when the full impact of it occurs !!

It is like Tizan's "con patriotes" reasoning...why bother about trash: put it in rivers and forests...it will end up in the ocean anyways and it is somebody else's business.

Along the way it seems we forgot that somebody else is us; the future generation is us
